Henk Schutten is a self taught bass player from downtown Amsterdam who played his way through almost every style of music over the years.
In the late sixties, at the age of 15, he started playing in local bands and has been playing with all kinds of bands and musicians, both in Holland and abroad.
He played with drummers like Hans Waterman (Solution), Gus Genser (Herman Brood), Dennis Witbread (Het, Ekseption), Pierre van der Linden (Brainbox, Focus), Marty Richards (Duke Robillard, J. Geils Band).
And other musicians like Jochem Fluitsma (Mai Tai), Mason Casey (Popa Chubby), Bernard Potschka (Nina Hagen), Baron Raymonde (Rod Stewart) and Jefferson Starship (concert for friends at The Melkweg Amsterdam, November 2006).
In 2004 Marcel asked Henk to join him on a tour to Curaçao followed by some gigs in Holland.
And last July he asked him to become his fulltime bass player together with Maarten Witsel, one of his favourite drummers.
