Maarten is a born musician. From the age of 5 he started to hit every object that made a sound. When his parents turned nuts they decided to buy him a drumkit for kids and a good option it was.
At the age of 12 he played his first gig ever with some older guys from the music school.
When Maarten turned 13 his mom bought him his first real drumkit that he gladly played although not everybody in de house enjoyed it as much as he did.
Listening to records from his mom, brother and sister from artists like Michael Jackson, Neil Diamond, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Nirvana, Rage Against The Machine and so on, you could always find him behind his drumkit.
After playing all those years and lots of practicing he started to visit all kinds of jamsessions in Amsterdam.
He started playing with a lot of different musicians over town, till he was ready to move on and found some more gigs all over Europe, like France, Spain, Germany, Switzerland and many more places.
Till by accident he bumped into Marcel at the age of 26 and still playing that what he likes most: DRUMS!!!!
